Oak Ridge Baptist Church (ORBC) began as a VBS community outreach in 1962.  The church experienced some initial success but lost its way.  After 25 years of plateau and decline, the church went through a near-death experience in 1998.  In late 1999 the leadership made a decision to radically change the operating practices and philosophy of the church.  They recaptured the vision and the mission of the church.  Since that time ORBC has experienced exponential growth!

ORBC is a forward thinking, visitor-sensitive, mission-minded church.  Churches are commissioned by God to make a tangible difference in the world.  It is our desire to minister to thousands of families on the Eastern shore by providing specialized children’s and youth ministries, needed services and outreach ministries such as recovery and support groups, ministries to the homeless and underprivileged, and other community ministries.

ORBC is fully committed to realizing our dreams through sacrificial giving, unselfish serving and unshakable love.

OUR STRATEGY

ORBC is a FAMILY-targeted church that offers simultaneous worship services for adults, teens and children.

Because we believe that reaching families is the key to reaching Salisbury, we have invested heavily in Children's and Youth ministries through programming and STAFF.

We are a church ON MISSION.  We are deeply committed to making an eternal IMPACT on Salisbury and Wicomico county.  We will not rest until everyone has had a chance to hear and respond to the life-changing message of Jesus Christ.
