ORBC K.I.D.S is the children's ministry at Oak Ridge. We are passionate about your children understanding God's Truth at their level in a high energy enviornment. Our prayer is that every week your kids drag you out of bed anxious to get back to church!

WHAT TO EXPECT WHEN YOU ARRIVE:

We start by checking your child into our computer database. This system will print a name tag with a unique security code which matches the pick up tag we provide to you. This ensures the safety of your child for the duration of the service. (Parental beepers are provided to parents of children 3 and under)
After receiving a name tag a Guest Services volunteer will walk you and your child to their drop off area.
Your child will be greeted and shown their venue by a trained ORBC K.I.D.S. volunteer.

DURING SERVICE:

All children's venues teach God's truths at a level appropriate for your child's age.
Security personnel walk all children's areas to guarantee the most secure enviornment possible.

VOLUNTEERS:

ALL ORBC VOLUNTEERS WHO SERVE IN THE CHILDRENS AREA ARE BACKGROUND CHECKED AND TRAINED FOR YOUR CHILD'S SAFETY.

STRUCTURE:

To reach your child at their level we divide the children's ministry into four areas. Area breakdowns are:

Doodlebugs: Birth-Pre K (3 years)

iSPY: Pre-K (4 years)-Kindergarten

KICKS: 1st & 2nd grades

Signal: 3rd & 4th grades

PEER 56: 5th & 6th grades

Frequent Questions

I think my child is ready to make a decision for Christ. What should I do?

The ORBC KIDS ministry offers a special class called First Step for parents and their 1st thru 6th Graders. This class will give the parent and their child an opportunity to explore ORBC'S Children's Ministry and also learn how their child can give his/her life to Christ. The class is designed to be interactive and will last approximately 1 hour.

What about having my baby dedicated?

The Bible says that children are God's blessing and with that blessing comes great responsiblity. Raising children in today's world requires a lot of help. That's why ORBC wants to partner with your family. Having your child dedicated is a commitment of the family to raise these little ones in God's house and by God's word. If you are a member of Oak Ridge and want to have your baby dedicated please fill out the BABY DEDICATION FORM.
