Get Connected

Most of us are looking for more than just a friendly church ~ we are looking for friends!  People who can walk with us through the highs and the lows of the journey of life.  This was also Jesus' desire:

…Christ makes us one body and individuals who are connected to each other.  Romans 12:5b (God’s Word)

 At Oak Ridge we want you to get connected to other Christ followers who will encourage, support and pray for you. That's why we believe it is so important that people don't just attend a church but that they connect to the church family.

How do I connect into the family of Oak Ridge?

The first step to getting connected to the Oak Ridge family is by attending CLASS 101 and becoming a member.  This is how you become a part of the mission of Oak Ridge - reaching the hurting with the message of hope.

The next step is to get into a SMALL GROUP.  Small groups are comprised of approximately 6-12 people who meet together weekly in a host home to study the Bible, share their life experiences and pray together.  Oh, and did I mention there's FOOD!

I am very thankful for ORBC. It was so nice to find family in a new city when we moved here. I especially love the classes that you encourage everyone to attend, 101 & 201. It is the best way to find out what our church believes and its vision. I think encouraging every member to join a small group is probably the best thing we have done. We love our small group. It is a perfect match for all of us. We are all on different levels, with different experiences that help each of us grow. We have had two of our members experience critical family problems at the same time and we have been there for each other.
