Gary and his wife Kate are raising their two boys, Brennen and Trey, in the house where he grew up in Bishopville, MD. He graduated from Stephen Decatur HS, earned his Bachelor of Arts in Religion from Carson Newman, spent a summer studying Ethnomusicology under SIL/Wycliffe missionaries and is currently pursuing his Masters of Divinity from Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. He lived for two years as a Journeyman Church Planter/Catalyst of Indigenous Music through the International Mission Board in Benin, West Africa. Upon his return, he spent four years in youth ministry before God led him to ORBC, where he's been allowed to pursue his true passion- missions and raising up new missionaries.
