CLASS 101
…I am writing these things to you now…[so that] you will know how to live in the family of God. That family is the church of the living God. 1 Timothy 3:14-15 (NCV)
We believe that the church is a family. In the same way that God created the physical family as a context for the nurture and development of physical children, God also created the church to be the spiritual family where we are nurtured to grow in our faith journey.
…You are members of God’s very own family…and you belong in God’s household with every other Christian. Ephesians 2:19 (TLB)
The Christian life is not just about believing, it is also about belonging. At Oak Ridge we value church membership because it's a commitment to a spiritual family. When you're born physically you didn't get to choose your family, but in your spiritual journey God expects us to make a choice where we will worship and serve.
We think joining a church is a big deal and you have a right to know up front what the church is really all about. That's why we offer CLASS 101 - Introduction to Membership on the first Sunday of every month. In CLASS 101 you'll hear directly from Pastor Brian what we believe the Bible teaches about becoming a Christian, celebrating our salvation through baptism and the Lord's Supper, Oak Ridge's history, mission and vision.

Classes are usually held the 1st Sunday of every month from 2-6pm.
Childcare is available for children 6th grade and younger for FREE (please try and pre-register children in advance - walk-ins welcome though)
