Barbie grew up in Glen Burnie, Maryland. She started her Christian walk when she met her husband, Barry, who invited her to his church. Soon after they were married in 1985, they moved to Salisbury. They have two children, Heather and Josh. Barbie became a member of ORBC in 2007. In 2008 she reopened and managed The Java Hut Café until she accepted the position as Financial Assistant for ORBC in 2010.
